MIT researchers found that attributing diffusion model output to specific training data becomes impossible as models grow, a phenomenon called attribution decay. The paper, by Zheng Dai and David K Gifford, publishes in Nature Communications on Tuesday. Larger models can reproduce images like the Mona Lisa even after that data is removed.
