Pi-hole query logs on an LG C2 showed Automatic Content Recognition traffic dominated requests, even when the TV was off. Ad traffic was under a third of total requests. Blocking all smart TV domains broke the home screen, requiring CDN allowlisting. ACR is common across Samsung, Sony, Vizio, and Roku.
