Nintendo just made life harder for Switch 2 scalpers

Nintendo now requires a Nintendo Account with at least 50 hours of playtime on the original Switch by May 31, 2026 to buy the multi-language Switch 2 in Japan. The rule targets scalpers exploiting the price gap between Japan and other markets. Sales of the multi-language model are temporarily paused.
