Shell built an electric concept car called the Triple 10 Challenge that achieves a 10-to-80-percent charge in under 10 minutes on a common 175-kW charger. The car targets 10 kilometers per kWh efficiency and 10 metric tonnes of lifecycle CO2e emissions. A smaller battery cooled in dielectric fluid enables a 25-percent cheaper pack.
