Discord is rolling out automatic age estimation in every country except Australia and the UK, seven months after pausing its previous verification system over privacy backlash. The model uses account signals, not messages, and Discord expects 90 percent of users will not need to confirm their age. Teens get default safety restrictions; adults can verify via credit cards, app stores, or ID.
