Hacker Clones Politician Fingerprint From Photos

Jan Krissler, a member of the Chaos Computer Club, cloned German defence minister Ursula von der Leyen's thumbprint using commercial software and photos taken at an October news conference. He had no physical print. Fingerprint biometrics, used on Apple and Samsung devices and in Brazil's election, are already considered insecure. Experts suggest vein recognition as a more secure alternative.
