Autonomous AI worms enable adaptive cyberattacks

University of Toronto researchers demonstrated a computer worm that reasons its way across a network, crafting a different attack for each machine it lands on without human involvement. The worm can target any online device. The paper settles the argument about whether such a worm is buildable and reopens three issues for internet security teams.
