The Business Development Bank of Canada outlined how it will deploy $1 billion from its $6 billion Defence Platform. The plan includes a new $500-million Defence Fund for investments in Canadian and allied venture capital, growth equity, and private equity funds focused on defence and dual-use technologies. The bank also increased its direct investment vehicle, the StrongNorth Fund, from $300 million to $500 million.
