Starknet voters approved research into an independent, post-quantum layer-1 blockchain with 93.52% voting power support. The poll drew about 3,200 votes over seven days, closing Thursday. StarkWare CEO Eli Ben-Sasson targets a 2027 deadline for quantum resistance, ahead of Ethereum's 2029 goal, while the network continues as an Ethereum layer-2 until a separate binding vote occurs.
