Original Switch lineup discontinued in Europe by 2027

Nintendo will discontinue sales of the original Switch, Switch Lite, and OLED models in Europe from mid-February 2027 due to EU battery accessibility legislation. All three models remain available through 2026. Revised Switch 2 consoles launch this summer, with replacement Joy-Con 2 and Pro Controller available this winter.
