Microsoft enables Windows backup by default for orgs

Microsoft will enable the Windows settings backup tool by default on Entra-joined enterprise systems running Windows 11 26H2. The tool, formerly Windows Backup for Organizations, reached general availability in August 2025. IT admins retain full control via MDM and can disable the policy through Intune or Group Policy.
