Microsoft introduces cheaper Surface devices with half the memory

Microsoft added a 12-inch Surface Pro for $849 and a 13-inch Surface Laptop for $949, both with 8GB of RAM instead of 16GB. The devices keep the same 8-core Snapdragon X Plus chip and 256GB storage but lose Copilot Plus support, which requires 16GB of RAM.
