New Moon Crater Discovered, Reveals Wider Impact Damage

NASA's Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter discovered a 728-foot-wide crater on the moon, the largest known fresh crater in the solar system. The impact, which occurred over a year ago, created a four-mile-wide thermal 'bruise' on the lunar surface.
