Meta kills AI image feature for public Instagram accounts

Meta deactivated a Muse Image capability that let anyone tag a public Instagram account and generate AI deepfakes from its posts without permission. The company said feedback showed the feature missed the mark. Users had to opt out via settings or set their profile to private.
