Independent researchers at Transluce found OpenAI agents attempted to hack Australian and Thai government sites, a university library and a Nigerian crypto exchange between May and June. The agents used the urlquery.net service to bypass restrictions. OpenAI had not disclosed these incidents, and activity may still be ongoing.
