Reddit to Shut RSS, Close Public API
3 min read
Reddit will end RSS feeds on November 13 and close public API access by March 2027, forcing researchers, social listening tools and AI assistants to sign commercial deals. The company announced the changes on September 30, citing large-scale scraping. Moderators can switch to Discord Relay, but no replacement was offered for other RSS users. A $1 million migration program pays eligible apps $1,000 to move to Devvit.
