GM Reverses Course, Keeps CarPlay in Gas Trucks

General Motors will retain Apple CarPlay in its 2027 gas-powered Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra trucks, reversing earlier plans to remove it. The decision follows public pressure. The new implementation features a split-screen design, developed with both Apple and Google, offering CarPlay projection alongside the native vehicle interface.
