Dutch Police Arrest Hacker in ShinyHunters Probe

Dutch police arrested Pepijn van der Stap, a convicted hacker, around September 16 for suspected involvement with ShinyHunters. After his arrest, the group escalated attacks, breaching the FBI jobs site and extorting Cl0p. Van der Stap had claimed reform, working as offensive security lead at Neo Security. ShinyHunters exploited a PeopleSoft flaw to steal data from thousands of FBI officials.
