US judge pauses Paramount's $110bn Warner Bros acquisition

A California judge granted a 14-day temporary restraining order on the $110 billion Paramount-Warner Bros. Discovery merger after 12 state attorneys general sued, arguing it violates the Clayton Antitrust Act. Paramount had planned to close the deal July 22. A $650 million per quarter ticking fee starts October if the deal is not closed by September 30.
