China car sales face worst year since 2021

China passenger vehicle deliveries fell 20.2 percent through the first half of the year to 8.7 million units. The China Passenger Car Association expects 20.4 million total sales this year, down 14 percent from 2025. ICE vehicle sales dropped 39 percent year-on-year in June, accounting for 78 percent of the market's total decline.
