France's Proparco Plans Sri Lanka Investments After Default

Proparco, the private-sector financing arm of Agence Française de Développement, plans to fund Sri Lankan companies in renewable energy, agribusiness, and women-led small enterprises. The decision follows Sri Lanka's sovereign credit rating upgrade out of default. Proparco last invested in 2020 through Hatton National Bank, with $20 million still to be repaid.
