IBM and Red Hat launched Project Lightwell, backed by a $5 billion AI-powered initiative, to find and fix vulnerabilities in open-source software. Lightwell Network is generally available, and Lightwell Clearinghouse Premier enters limited availability for financial services. Both services use AI and 20,000 engineers to backport fixes directly into production software.
