Apple confirms macOS 26 as last Intel Mac support

Apple confirms macOS 26 Tahoe is the last major OS version supporting Intel Macs. Intel Macs will no longer receive native OS updates after macOS 26. Apple Silicon Macs will receive all future macOS updates starting with macOS 27. Rosetta 2 continues to run Intel apps on Apple Silicon without source code changes. The transition ends hardware support for Intel Macs at WWDC 2025.
