Swiss Court Jails Ukrainian Ransomware Dev

A Swiss court has sentenced a 52-year-old Ukrainian man to 12 years and nine months in prison for developing ransomware used in attacks on companies including Stadler Rail. The Zurich District Court found he created the code for LockerGoga, MegaCortex, and Nefilim operations. He also received a ten-year ban from Switzerland. The judgment can be appealed.
