Myanmar Scam Compounds Surge After Crackdown

At least 25 suspected scam compounds have been built or expanded in Myanmar's Myawaddy region since January, satellite images show. The growth indicates last year's military crackdown did little to stop the operations. New sites include buildings for trafficking victims and use Starlink terminals.
