Chinese automaker Zhejiang Geely Holding Group acquired the principal assets of Manganese Bronze Holdings, the maker of London's iconic black cabs, out of administration in February 2013 for 11 million pounds. The purchase included the Coventry factory, intellectual property, and the TX4 production line. The company was later renamed the London Electric Vehicle Company (LEVC) in 2017.
