Microsoft starts removing WMIC tool used by cybercriminals

Microsoft removed the WMIC tool from Windows 11 24H2 and 25H2 and beta builds. The legacy command-line utility, abused by cybercriminals as a LOLBIN, is no longer available as a Feature on Demand. WMI itself remains unaffected, and PowerShell is recommended as a replacement.
