Sony Settles PlayStation Store Antitrust Suit for $7.85M

Sony will pay $7.85 million to settle a US class action lawsuit alleging it created a monopoly by ending retail download codes for PlayStation games in April 2019. Eligible US customers who bought qualifying digital games between April 1, 2019, and December 31, 2023, will receive automatic PlayStation Store credit. A final fairness hearing is scheduled for October 15.
