File Notification Flaws Hit All Major OSes

Researchers at TU Graz found side-channel flaws in file notification systems on Android, Linux, macOS, and Windows, some dating to 2000. Attackers can infer keystrokes, visited websites, and app activity. Linux was partially patched in December 2025; Android remains unmitigated. Microsoft called the Windows leak by design.
