Ubuntu 26.10 Adds RISC-V Desktop Images
1 min read
Valentin Haudiquet announced that Ubuntu 26.10 will include desktop images for RISC-V hardware on 15 October. The release features a regular Ubuntu Desktop image and an unofficial Xubuntu minimal image with the Xfce desktop, tested on SpacemiT K3 hardware. Under QEMU emulation, the GNOME desktop can take 30+ minutes to load, making the Xubuntu variant recommended for practical use.
