OpenAI partners with Luxshare, Goertek for AI device

OpenAI partnered with Luxshare Precision and Goertek to develop a new AI device. Luxshare will assemble the device, and Goertek will supply speaker modules. The first product is a screenless smart speaker designed by Jony Ive, planned for release by late 2026 with a 100 million unit shipment target.
