AI agents build robot training worlds

MIT CSAIL and Toyota Research Institute developed SceneSmith, a system using three AI agents with GPT-5.2 to create realistic 3D indoor scenes. The system generates up to six times more objects per scene than prior methods, enabling robots to practice tasks like placing cups in sinks before real-world deployment.
