Honor shifts from smartphone maker to AI ecosystem company

Honor officially repositioned as an AI-driven tech ecosystem company under a new Alpha Strategy. Chairman Wu Hui announced over ¥10 billion ($1.37 billion) in AI R&D investment. The company will open its IoT platform with free connectivity and zero licensing fees, and expand globally starting with Europe and Southeast Asia.
