Solid-state battery electrolyte retains 84% capacity after 350 cycles

Researchers at the Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics developed a new PVDF-based gel composite electrolyte for solid-state batteries. The electrolyte maintained over 84% of its capacity after 350 charge cycles. It uses lithium oxychloride to trigger a reaction with PVDF, creating stronger chemical bonds and improving ionic conductivity and durability.
