Apple brings video playback to CarPlay in iOS 27

Apple quietly announced at WWDC 2026 that iOS 27 will let CarPlay users browse and play videos on supported vehicles, but only when parked. The feature requires AirPlay streaming, a minimum 1920x1080 display, H.265 codec support, and 4GB of memory. No automaker has yet announced support for the feature.
