DogeOS Opens Public Testnet for Dogecoin DeFi

DogeOS launched a public testnet on Wednesday for Ethereum-compatible trading, lending and stablecoin apps using test DOGE. The network initially relies on selected operators and a Security Council, not Dogecoin miners. A proposed Dogecoin Core upgrade, OP_CHECKZKP, would eventually let miners verify proofs. No mainnet launch date is set.
