Meta signed deals to rent AI chips at Southeast Asian data centers run by Australian builder Firmus, reserving capacity with room to add more for training its models. Financial terms and sites were undisclosed. Firmus, with seven AI sites across Australia, Singapore, Indonesia and Malaysia, starts bookbuilding for its 6 October listing, aiming to raise about $5 billion.
