Western Australia Bans Smart Glasses in Schools

Western Australia's education department banned smart glasses from all public schools starting 12 October, covering students, staff, parents and visitors at school events and residential colleges. Director general Jay Peckitt issued the directive under the School Education Act 1999, citing privacy, child safety, recording and exam integrity. No misuse has been recorded in WA schools. Principals can approve medical or accessibility use.
