King Signs Union Deal, Averts Strike

Candy Crush developer King signed a collective bargaining agreement with Swedish unions Unionen and Engineers of Sweden on Thursday, one day before a planned strike. The Microsoft-owned studio had refused a CBA since talks began in May 2025. The deal, effective April 1, 2027, gives Swedish staff formal influence over working conditions but does not prevent layoffs.
