Google Rolls Out Android to Windows Backup
2 min read
On Nov 2, 2026, Google rolled out automatic photo and video backup from Android phones to Windows PCs via Quick Share within Google Play services v26.43. This local transfer replaces the need for cloud subscriptions, though Samsung devices may face initial exclusion despite the release notes not explicitly stating restrictions.
