The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration intends to update Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 108 to address blinding LED glare. This follows a 25-year gap since the last lighting standards update. Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy will appoint up to 18 experts to evaluate headlamp height and aim.
