StratX raises $1.19M for landfill biocovers

StratX raised $1.19 million in a funding round led by Neglected Climate Opportunities (NCO) with CarbonFix and Terraset. The startup uses living biocovers that combine soil, gravel, and indigenous microbes to oxidize methane from landfills in the Global South. Pilot projects are planned in Africa and South America, including Tanzania, Colombia, and Chile.
