A critical bug in the Redis 4.0 PSYNC2 replication protocol was reported on GitHub. PSYNC2 allows resynchronization by exchanging differences after a failover or slave restart. The bug affected the feature that augments the RDB file with replication metadata loaded after a slave restart.
