Microsoft has published a 37-page provisional code of conduct for its future AI models, developed over five months. The guidelines state 'people matter more than AI,' prohibit models from assisting with weapons manufacturing or creating their own goals, and reject AI consciousness and legal personhood. The code is open for public input before informing development starting in 2027.
