Dennis, known as RetroGameRevival, released the RGR ezBuff polishing machine as an open-source design. The 3D-printed device buffs scratched optical disks using a motor and controller. Over-aggressive polishing can ruin a disk, and deep scratches or disk rot cannot be fixed.
