Brooklyn Man Sentenced in $16M Coinbase Scam

Ronald Spektor, 23, was sentenced to four to 12 years after pleading guilty to 31 counts for stealing nearly $16 million from about 100 Coinbase users. Posing as exchange staff, he told victims their funds were at risk and moved crypto to wallets he controlled. He must forfeit over $500,000 and pay almost $16 million in restitution.
