Brookfield and NextEra Energy plan a privately financed AI infrastructure and energy complex at a former U.S. nuclear-weapons site in Paducah, Kentucky. The project could involve about $100 billion, two gigawatts of gas-fired generation, and 2.6 gigawatts of battery storage, with U.S. Department of Energy support.
