Rivian Unveils Point To Point Autonomy Plan

Rivian CEO Robert Scaringe announced a Point to Point autonomy feature for R2 and Gen 2 R1 vehicles in 2027. The system handles city streets and highways with driver supervision, targeting California and Florida first. Uber agreed to invest up to $1.25 billion in March 2026 to buy 10,000 robotaxis by 2028.
