8 min read
SSD controller designer FADU announced its File-Semantic SSD at the 2026 OCP Global Summit, promising to move the file system inside the flash. Partner samples are expected by Q3 2027, with Gen6-host results by Q1 2027. The device claims 63% lower write amplification and uses only 0.1% of NAND capacity for DRAM mapping metadata overhead.
