Amazon Web Services CEO Matt Garman announced the Built Together program in an Oct. 2 post, pledging over $1 billion over five years for job training and energy upgrades. The initiative targets 300,000 students for community college access and plans to fund efficiency improvements for more than 30,000 homes and 300 schools to counter local opposition to data center construction.
